Mesut Ozil breaks silence over Arsenal exit with Fenerbahce deal close | Football | Sport


Mesut Ozil has spoken out on his impending transfer to Fenerbahce from Arsenal.

“I am very excited. I said it in my speeches. I’m from Fenerbahce. I’m so happy,” Ozil is reported as saying by Turkish football journalist Ekrem Konur.

“I see you when I come, Ridvan Hocam. Thank God it was Fenerbahce. I am very happy. As a Fenerbahceli, God has given him the right to wear that jersey. I will wear the Fenerbahçe jersey with pride!

“Thank God I am in Fenerbahçe. I am very happy. As a Fenerbahçeli, God has given him the right to wear that jersey. I will wear the Fenerbahce jersey with pride!”

On Arsenal, Ozil said: “I trained with the team all the time. I missed a few training sessions due to isolation because I’ve been out of the country lately.”
