Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has defended the Glazers by insisting he and the club have their full backing. The American owners are unpopular figures among fans. But, amid interest in Jadon Sancho, Erling Haaland and Jules Kounde, the Norwegian has defended their corner.
United are set to try and strengthen the squad this summer.
Solskjaer would like to sign Borussia Dortmund pair Sancho and Haaland, with both players recently returning to form.
And Sevilla star Kounde is also on the 47-year-old’s radar as he plots a pathway to a first Premier League title since 2013.
In recent years, the Glazers have come under fire.
While they’ve done well to recruit the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire, duds such as Angel Di Maria, Alexis Sanchez and Radamel Falcao linger in the memory.

“We are getting better, but we need to do better than last year when we got to three semi-finals.
“The next stage is to get into finals and establish ourselves again as challengers in the league.”
Solskjaer also insisted he was relaxed over his own future, with the Norwegian’s contract due to expire in 2022.
“I talk to Ed all the time and I know we will keep on discussing the progress of the team,” he said, referring to Ed Woodward.
“I’ve still got time left on my contract and my job is to keep doing my best for the club.”
Solskjaer hailed Edinson Cavani, too, admitting he was primed to sit down with the 33-year-old and discuss a contract extension.
“I will sit down with Edinson at the end of the season, but so far, so good,” he said.
“I just hope the weather in Manchester will improve for him!
“I haven’t been surprised by Edinson, just impressed.
“I spoke to Ander Herrera, Diego Forlan and other players who knew Edinson and every single one of them sang his praises for his attitude and his personality.
“When you’re a footballer, there is a spell early on in your career when you’re young and you’re eager.
“Then you enter a stage half-way through when you come to think you’re invincible.
“But then you get towards the end – and that’s when you really make the most of it.
“Edinson isn’t going to let his career be cut short through any lack of desire or determination or lack of work.”
