Chelsea’s loss to Leicester highlights need for Roman Abramovich to reverse 2008 decision | Football | Sport

An impressive promotion-led campaign for Swansea followed years later, which earned him a job in the hot seat at Liverpool.

And he came agonisingly close to achieving greatness at Anfield, finishing two points behind eventual champions Manchester City in the 2013-14 season.

His time at Liverpool ended largely due to the fact Jurgen Klopp was available, but he’s rebuilt his strong reputation at Leicester and should be held in high regard for any managerial position at a European club.

Rodgers may well like the project he has going at Leicester, but Abramovich may not wait around too long to make a change at Chelsea with results taking a turn for the worse and the Leicester boss would be an ideal candidate.
