Premier League fixtures ‘leaked’ — Manchester United vs Wolves as Man City face nightmare start
Manchester City’s and Manchester United’s first eight fixtures of the 2022/23 Premier League campaign have been ‘leaked’ online — just days before the full reveal of next season’s schedule.
The fixtures for next season will be officially released at 9am this coming Thursday, meaning supporters of both clubs will soon be able to be start planning their away days and when they could first catch a glimpse of any new signings. City have completed the transfer of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund for the new season, while United’s fans will be hoping to see several new additions, plus new manager Erik ten Hag.
However, although many fans have been sharing the ‘leak’ — which has shown fixtures up to and including the weekend of September 24 and 25 — it’s still by no means confirmed. The secrecy surrounding the fixture lists is kept under wraps right up until they are published on release day.

Nevertheless, the ‘leaked’ fixture list has attracted plenty of attention on social media since it came to light. With that said, MEN Sport has taken a close look at what City’s and United’s first six fixtures for next term are claimed to be.
- Aston Villa (H) – August 6
- Brentford (A) – August 13
- Chelsea (H) – August 20
- Fulham (A) – August 27
- Arsenal (H) – September 3
- Bournemouth (A) – September 10
- Liverpool (A) – September 17
- Crystal Palace (H) – September 24
- Wolves (A) – August 6
- Newcastle United (H) – August 13
- Brighton & Hove Albion (A) – August 20
- Leicester City (H) – August 27
- Tottenham Hotspur (A) – September 3
- Southampton (A) – September 10
- Nottingham Forest (H) – September 17
- West Ham United (A) – September 24
As you can see from the ‘leaked’ fixtures displayed above, City might well have been handed a very, very challenging start to the campaign, facing Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool in their first six matches. United, on the other hand, have been presented with a more favourable start.
But as outlined above, these ‘leaked’ fixtures should be taken with a pinch of salt because of the secrecy that surrounds the official fixture list. But if it was true, United’s fans would probably be happier than City’s with the start each club has been given.
