Liverpool injury crisis has deepened with Jurgen Klopp set to be without both Diogo Jota and Curtis Jones as the duo became the latest Reds stars to head to the treatment table. The pair were both forced off in Saturday’s win over Brentford and have reportedly been ruled out of the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea.

The Telegraph claim that both Jota and Jones will be unavailable for Sunday’s cup final with Darwin Nunez also a doubt after coming off at half-time against Brentford.

The Uruguayan, alongside goalkeeper Alisson, face a battle to be fit at Wembley as the Brazilian stopper ordinarily would not have featured but is hoping he can return in time to take on Chelsea.

However, Alisson may not even be fit before March’s international break and Caoimhin Kelleher could keep his place in the Carabao Cup and for Liverpool’s blockbuster clash with Manchester City on March 10.

Reports out of Portugal claim that Jota is facing up to two months out, though Liverpool are awaiting further tests to determine the timeline for his and Jones’ rehabilitation.

But before Luton travel to Anfield on Wednesday and a cup final a few days later, Klopp’s Liverpool are walking wounded with another four key players added to their already lengthy injury list.
