Pochettino has been a firm believer that youth players should be given a pathway to the team. Despite a huge transfer outlay under Todd Boehly and co, a number of promising talents have been handed a chance by the Argentine in his first few months at Stamford Bridge.

The likes of Alfie Gilchrist, Mason Burtstow, Alex Matos and Cesare Casadei have all been given time on the pitch this season while Pochettino works with one of the youngest squads in the Premier League.

High-profile youngsters such as Chukwuemeka, Lesly Ugochukwu, Kendry Paez, Deivid Washington and Andrey Santos all arrived at Chelsea recently. But Chelsea have a history of producing world-class players and they will hope that Holland is the latest star off their famed production line, after giving him a chance to compete with one of the most expensive squads ever assembled.
