Casemiro ‘rips Man Utd team-mate apart’ vs Luton as Brazilian lucky not to get red card | Football | Sport

Manchester United star Casemiro was lucky not to have been sent off during his side’s clash with Luton Town on Sunday afternoon. The midfielder lunged into a risky challenge despite already being on a booking, leaving the Kenilworth Road crowd furious.

Casemiro has gained a reputation for being a hot-headed, rash character in the heart of Erik ten Hag’s side, and the former Real Madrid playmaker did himself no favours when flying into several risky tackles against Luton this weekend.

Just moments after dragging Carlton Morris to the ground as he looked to break away, the 31-year-old received a yellow card for tripping Amari’i Tripp as he roamed into the United half.

At that point, some Luton supporters were infuriated that Casemiro had not received his second yellow card at that point, though they were left even more furious when the 31-year-old brought down Ross Barkley with a late sliding challenge.
