Manchester United forward Amad Diallo has insisted Paul Pogba and Eric Bailly will help him settle at Old Trafford. The Ivory Coast international joined from Atalanta earlier in the January transfer window. And he’s looking forward to proving himself in English football.
United have paid £37million to sign Diallo, with the Red Devils convinced he can be a huge Old Trafford hit.
And the Ivory Coast international is raring to get going, telling the club’s official website: “I’m over the moon to be here.
“I’m so excited to start here at Manchester United. It’s a dream come true and I can’t wait to start and play with the guys.
“It’s been a little bit strange these last few months. I would have hoped to have played a little bit more with Atalanta, but it wasn’t possible.
“Now I’m here and I’m very happy to be here and I’m expecting a lot from my experience here. I’m looking forward to starting.”
And Diallo has also admitted Eric Bailly and Paul Pogba should help him settle into life in England.

“They have always supported me and have always been there for me, so huge thanks to them of course and it’s thanks to them that I am here now.”
Diallo is targeting the Premier League title, too.
The Red Devils currently sit top of the league, three points clear of Liverpool ahead of their crunch showdown on Sunday.
And Solskjaer said: “I’m a little bit too anxious to say this given it’s just the start [of my time here] but my dream is to win the Premier League and the Champions League with Manchester United.
“That is my aim and goal.”
Solskjaer also recently outlined a desire to help Diallo settle into life in England before unleashing him on Premier League defences.
“We felt Facundo [Pellistri] would benefit [from time in the Under-23s],” he said.
“He started training with the first-team – he did well but we couldn’t give him game-time so we thought we’d give him a run of games in the [Under] 23s and he’s benefited from that.
“His confidence has been given a boost. He’s shown in all the games that he can impact the game.
“With Amad, hopefully we can get him in and we’ll see how the squad looks and how he looks and how he settles as soon as possible.
“They’re both talented players that we believe will have a long career here. It’s important we find the right time.”
Atalanta star Papu Gomez compared the Ivory Coast youngster to Barcelona’s Lionel Messi earlier in the year, in comments sure to excite United fans.
He said: “He’s a future star, trust me.
“During our training sessions he plays like Messi.
“You can’t stop him, he’s unbelievable, our centre-backs have serious problems when he is on the pitch. He’s fantastic.”
