Man Utd news: Diallo weaknesses, Pogba transfer price set for PSG, Williams unhappy | Football | Sport

Manchester United are in Premier League action against Burnley on Tuesday night. Victory over the Clarets would see them leapfrog Liverpool at the top of the table, in what would be the clearest indication yet they’re gearing up for a title challenge. But, in the meantime, Express Sport will take you through the latest news and gossip – with Amad Diallo, Paul Pogba and Brandon Williams all featuring.

Diallo weaknesses

Diallo joined United earlier on in the transfer window, signing from Atalanta in a £37million deal.

Yet former coach Denis Cerlini has expressed a belief the 18-year-old must work on his heading and physique in order to become an Old Trafford hit.

“Physically, Amad wasn’t the strongest at Boca Barco, and his heading abilities aren’t good,” Cerlini told BBC Sport.

“He must add a few kilograms of weight in order to survive in the Premier League.”

Solskjaer has expressed his excitement over Diallo’s arrival – but when the teenager will make his debut remains to be seen.

Haaland move backed

United would beat Liverpool to the Premier League title if they spent big to sign Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund, according to Gabriel Agbonlahor.

“He’s the most complete striker out there for me,” Agbonlahor told talkSPORT.

“We’re talking about Premier League clubs wanting him; I think Bayern Munich or Real Madrid are the favourites to get him.

“I feel like Borussia Dortmund can ask for whatever they want. If you’re talking about £100million for Sancho, you’re talking £180m for Haaland.

“You’re talking ridiculous money. He’ll be the most expensive player ever when he leaves Dortmund because he’s getting better.

“He’s learning, he looks hungry. He’s not happy just to be at Dortmund and score goals, he’s trying to improve his game and he’s going to get better and better.”
