Arsenal will have to meet Norwich’s “crazy” asking price to sign Emi Buendia in the January transfer window. Buendia was one of the standout performers for Norwich during their Premier League campaign last year before they were relegated and is said to be fixed on helping the Canaries back to the top flight amid the transfer speculation.
The Argentine earned rave reviews with only Kevin De Bruyne (136), Jack Grealish (90) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (87) creating more than his 83 chances in the Premier League.
And he’s continued that fine form in the Championship having provided seven assists while scoring seven goals.
Arsenal were linked with a move for the 24-year-old during the summer transfer window, but ended up focussing their efforts elsewhere.
Houssem Aouar was the top target in the final few weeks of the window before the club moved their attention on to Thomas Partey.
Willian was also signed as a free agent earlier in the summer, but the Brazilian has failed to deliver so far.
Arsenal’s lack of goals this campaign has been a huge concern for Mikel Arteta and there have been suggestions that Arsenal could look to rectify that in January.
Buendia is a top target for the Arsenal boss, who is said to be a big admirer of the winger.
Sky Sports‘ Kaveh Solhekol insists Buendia hasn’t let the transfer speculation distract him from the task at hand in trying to help Norwich return to the Premier League.
