Arsenal fans have hailed ‘agent Lacazette’ after the forward sent a message to his fellow countryman Houssem Aouar – who was linked with a summer move to the Emirates Stadium.
Lyon told Arsenal to pay £45million to sign Aouar before the 2020/21 campaign got underway but the Gunners refused to spend such a sum.
Instead, Mikel Arteta’s side spent the exact same amount triggering Thomas Partey’s Atletico Madrid release clause.
It has been clear that Arsenal have lacked a playmaker this term and they could bring a No 10 in before the end of the January transfer window.
Reigniting their interest in Aouar is a distinct possibility – and maybe Lacazette could help.
The pair were both born in Lyon and appear to share a good friendship, judging by their social media interactions.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has recently explained Arsenal’s stance on signing the creative midfielder.
“Aouar has always been the first target for Arsenal,” he said. “They love him and they are convinced he would be perfect in their midfield.
“The problem is that Lyon are asking for €60million (£53.3m) they are having an amazing season, they want to be back in the Champions League, so at the moment with the president of Lyon it’s really hard to negotiate in January for this kind of player.”
Arsenal technical director Edu has also highlighted his side’s need for a new No 10.
“It’s quit clear what we need,” he said.
“We need a player with creativity in the middle, we don’t have that in the squad right now.”
