It is claimed that Arsenal have already lodged a bid to sign Garcia and they hope Arteta’s role in his development at City could give them an edge.
Arteta has tried to implement a similar strategy to the one created at City under Pep Guardiola, suggesting it would be a relatively smooth transition to the north London club.
